(October 12, 2017; Day 8) – Many of the teams in the Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Yacht Race have been setting their own boat speed records during some fast and furious sailing on the 3,560nm leg from Punta del Este, Uruguay to Cape Town, South Africa. Greenings, leader of the fleet, has passed the halfway point to Cape Town and is on aim for Gough Island, the one and only landmark on the course. Full report .
